Perhaps you have had a chance to listen to Gordon Lightfoot’s 2012 record, “All Live,” which features live recordings from about a half-dozen performances at Toronto’s Massey Hall. If you haven’t, you can go out and pick up your own copy, or make a date to spend an evening with this acclaimed Canadian singer and songwriter when he comes to Connecticut.

He is expected to perform at the Norwalk Concert Hall, located in Norwalk City Hall, on Friday, July 18. He is being presented by the Fairfield Theatre Company. Tickets are now on sale to the public, which you can access at the website or by calling 203-259-1036.

At this point, it is the only Connecticut stop on his 2014 summer tour.

Lightfoot, who first made the scene in the early 1960s, is perhaps best known for his string of hits in the 1960s and 1970s, including “If You Could Read My Mind,” “Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” and “Carefree Highway.” (Below, he performs another one of his hits, “Sundown.”)
